I am so pleased that I bought this. I inistially bought it as we have electricity cuts on a fairly regular basis, and as i'm elderly I didn't feel comfortable using a oan to boil water, but i've got to say I use it all the time my electric kettle has been put away.

Stylish and good features
Bought this kettle a few weeks ago. Love it, it looks quite stylish. I also like the fact that you don’t have to touch the whistle, good safety feature. Does make a loud noise if heat is too high, simply turn heat down a bit.

Whistling kettle
Good points: value for money, lightweight, remote action for spout. Bad points: extremely noisy when starting to boil. Takes a while to boil, but probably not much more than a different one we had previously. Would I buy again? Probably not. As they last a good many years and cheaper to use than electric they are good value so possibly make sense to purchase a more expensive one.

This has a lid on top, under the handle. You take this off to fill it, putting it back on before you then put it on the stove to boil.

Teabags could be put into the water and boiled in the kettle. However, this is not advised as it could affect the taste of the tea, as some teas are only meant to be in hot water for a short period. It would also cause staining in the kettle, making it harder to clean.
