first time user
seems to work well enough , though does not wash with the volume of water i was expecting so several passes at slow speed are necessary, not difficult to assemble or use and light enough for the task. sadly it does leave large drips of water when being moved after use or picked up/ put down i guess residual water on the brushes and head. the spot cleaner is more effective than compared with the full vac as it seems to deliver a better spay of water and more relative volume

Vax Pet Carpet Shampooer
Used this once and brought up a 5 year old cream bedroom carpet really well . I was incredibly impressed . And smelled fresh . Required a lot of cleaning which isn’t easy as dander gets caught . My second attempt on another bedroom wasn’t so sucessfull as the unit tipped over and very dirty water went everywhere . So mixed review as it needs a lot more research on how to clean the brush heads which need the whole bottom unscrewed or on you tube video reviews was suggested immerse the unit ( not the motor ) in a bowl . IMO the machine could be a fabulous tool if the cleaning of it to keep it smelling fresh was designed a bit more thoughtfully . Overall the size and features would be perfect for domestic use if it didn’t tip over and was easier to clean . Saying that for small flats where you can’t fit a professional cleaner this could be great .

Got this a couple of weeks ago and brings my carpets up really well, I’ve got 2 toddlers so my carpet take a bashing, the machine is easy to use and with the attachments can also do stair carpets, liked it so much I got my mum one too!

While specific decibel figures are not always listed in the technical specifications, they are generally louder than standard vacuum cleaners, which usually range from 70 to 80 dB.
So slightly more noisy when on than other cleaners.

In order to keep your unit functioning properly and to prevent any odours building up, it is best to rinse out your dirty water tank with fresh water after each use.

If using the on-board wash tool with the Vax Dual Power Pet Advance Upright Carpet Cleaner, this is suitable for cleaning upholstery, especially as a spot cleaner. You have to be more careful with mattresses, especially those containing memory foam as the foam may absorb excess moisture and be difficult to dry.
