Excellent coffee machine!
Great purchase. Easy, quick and simple experience with Argos. The product itself is brilliant. An upgrade in my last machine, easy to use and set up. Super happy.

Good entry level coffee machine
I bought this as my husband drinks espresso every day. The machine is so simple to use, wait for the green light to show it's up to temperature and you are good to go. I have made a couple of lattes so far and again had no issues. You can either make it one or two cups in strength. Changing the ground coffee baskets are difficult as they are very tight.

Excllent foamy cappuccino
This is my third De'Longhi coffee machine. It's the best yet.

Underwhelming
Produces coffee but without that nice foamy head on it that my previous DeLonghi machine was capable of. Probably because the head filter unit is off a different design, lacking the final pinprick aperture.

Level 100 difficulty
Probably great if you’re an experienced barista that knows the recipe for each drink. Useless if you just want it to make a latte for you. Absolutely awful

Was a great gift for my best fiend

Great coffee machine if you know what to do
This coffee machine makes a great espresso shot and the milk frother is great aswell.... If you know how to use it this uses unpressurised baskets and as such you will need freshly roasted beans and a decent 'espresso' capable grinder to make good coffee with this machine a basic grinder suitable for this can be £60+ for a hand grinder and £150+ for a electric one that you may need to modify abit. If you want authentic espresso with a real crema then get this if your happy to not go through the effort of dialing in freshly roasted beans with a proper grinder then go for one of the other stilosa models that come with pressureised baskets which will make an ok espresso with less outlay.

If you want a long coffee, make your esspresso then top up with hot water. Dont run extra water through your grinds as this will overwork the coffee and make it bitter
Hi Wilse,
The De’Longhi EC230 Espresso Coffee Machine is primarily designed for making espressos, it also features a milk frother, which allows you to create a variety of milk-based beverages like cappuccinos and lattes. Additionally, the machine has a removable drip tray that can accommodate taller mugs, making it possible to brew a longer coffee.

Hi Delonghi,
Cleaning the milk hose on your De’Longhi EC230 Espresso Coffee Machine is essential to maintain its performance and hygiene. Here are the steps you can follow:
Detach the Milk Hose:
Turn off the coffee machine and unplug it from the power source.
Remove the milk container from the machine.
Gently pull out the milk hose from the milk frother attachment. Be careful not to damage the hose.
Rinse the Milk Hose:
Run warm water through the milk hose to remove any milk residue. You can use a small brush or pipe cleaner to scrub the inside of the hose.
Ensure that the hose is thoroughly cleaned and free from any clogs.
Clean the Milk Frother Attachment:
Remove the milk frother attachment from the coffee machine.
Disassemble any removable parts (such as the frothing nozzle) and rinse them under warm water.
Use a small brush or toothpick to clean any nooks and crannies.
Descale the Milk System:
If your coffee machine has an integrated milk system cleaning program, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
If not, you can manually descale the milk system by using a mixture of descaler (specifically designed for coffee machines) and water. Pour this mixture into the water tank and let it flow through the milk hose and frother. Rinse thoroughly afterward.
Reassemble and Test:
Reattach the milk hose to the milk frother and the coffee machine.
Run hot water through the milk system to ensure it’s clean and free from any descaler residue.
Test the milk frother by frothing some milk. If it works properly, you’re all set!
