Its ok, does not cool the room
Its ok as a fan, does not cool the whole room. You need to be directly in the line of air flow to feel any benefit.

It’s better than a normal fan- just
Had this air cooler for nearly a month, my main point is that it’s better than a normal fan when using the ice packs but nowhere near the coolness of proper AC. My 2nd point is it’s a great white noise machine to drown out my husband’s snoring.

Great Price and Cool enough!
I brought this last month during the June heatwave and the first few days I thought it was not worth it, however after using for a month I can say it is very effective for cooling down my lounge. I have found if I use tap water that has been in the fridge over night along with the ice packs it blows nice cool air on the extremely hot days. I use it with my windows open as it is also a humidifier therefore will create excess moisture in the air however this has not been a problem with the windows open. I also like the oscillating function as spreads the cool air nicely in my direction. It’s very cheap in comparison to air conditioning and obviously not as cold as air con however, it is much better than the standard circle fan I was using. I took a star away for noise as when on the highest fan setting it is quite loud.

I love this product! So many horror stories of similar products you can buy on another well know site beginning with ‘A’, this is so easy to use and extremely effective especiallly when you add ice blocks.

Vortex blade air cooler
Although I didn’t take to kindly to Argos selling me a returned cooler unit which someone had returned not packed properly, dirty, without all the packing - this was not noticed when I collected it, only once I was home as the box had been resealed as new. The cooler unit has worked great, it has helped to cool down the kitchen and conservatory area for the dogs in the hotter weather and adding the ice blocks the airflow is cooler better than a normal fan. It can be a little noisy when on full speed 3 but I’ve only had to use speed 2 and the dogs love it and it doesn’t seem to use much electricity when on all day. Please note this machine is an air cooler unit, not an air conditioning unit but great value for money for the area you are using and is light weight and can be moved around your property

Good overall
Thought I'd try an air cooler as air conditioners are like toilet paper during early covid! I used a lot of ice and froze water in pots to use as well as cubes. It works pretty well up to a point but 30+ degrees and it doesn't do much. Saying that my fridge and freezer needed turning up as even they were struggling. It's good but in the extreme heat it's no air conditioner. Also it's pretty loud so drowned out the TV.

I bought this 10 days ago. Although boxed from outside as new, in fact it was used and returned by someone as we found out the instructions was missing and the pump was unhooked and there was water in the tank.

Impressed!
I have been using this for the last week and can honestly say it's been brilliant. It's not too noisy, has three speed settings and once the ice packs are in the water tank, it really does blow very cold air out! It's certainly not an air conditioning unit, but for £85, it's a very budget friendly, almost as good as, alternative!

Hi! When you lift up the top part to put the water in, look at the bottom of it. Theres a black pump connected to blue pipe. Theres a little black thing you spin which will let the pump drop to the bottom of the water resevoir. It wont work correctly otherwise.
Press the snowflake icon , also you do need to remove the pump from the bottom. The short blue hose isnt the pump its the other one that is on the bottom.
Im experiencing the same issue even with water pump submerged into the tank, not sure if u have to keep it powered for several hours to notice it or the pump is faulty?

Yep! Any ice blocks or cubes can go into the water.
Yeah you can use any just make sure it doesnt go over max
