Smashed It!
Amazing machine which made short work of clearing a bramble / nettle /wild area which hadn’t been touched for many years. However, the flimsy plastic safety guard smashed within 30 minutes and no replacement was available. Accepted a discount and have had to buy a sheet of aluminium to make my own.

Grass trimmer review
Excellent bit of kit. Comfortable to use, easy to put together. Only issue is the run time isn't great on the 2 18v batteries, you could upgrade an buy a couple of the 36v to increase the run time. Over all much better than my old petrol one, quiet, less vibration and very powerful.

Used the trimmer to clear an over grown area of garden the brush attachment made quick work , easy to use and the straps made it easy to carry and manoeuvre . easy to change between brush and strimmer heads We spray painted the brush attachment red to make easy to see battery last 30 mins enough for water need to do would highly recommend

It works but. . .
Not a lot of puff, I'm afraid, which is a shame as I was really wanting it to fully replace my petrol trimmer. OK for grass and small weeds but anything woody, forget it. I like VonHaus gear - their hedge trimmer is best in class I'd say - but this has been a let down.

Von haus Brush/line cutter
Great cutting power and a great item to help maintain a large lawn. I dropped stars as the safety guard ( plastic) sheared its bolt on first use, making it unsafe to operate again. Vonhaus weren’t helpful in assisting me to get a replacement part, but fortunately Argos have arranged a replacement as I was within 30 days of purchase. Fingers crossed the replacement holds up as it’s otherwise a very good item, which would make life easier. It’s lightweight and I love the battery operation, no more cut wires or difficult maintenance.
