Got mine a month ago,happy with the purchase. Size is good for a big portion Heat conduction is wow I cleaned it with a sponge. noted a tiny scratch that I hope it won’t peel off the coating any soon. Overall rating is 9/10

Not The Best
Was supposed to be a non stick but unfortunately it’s not. The black part of wok starting peeling and ended up on food. Oil was applied first!

Hello Mark. Our supplier advise that the Argos Home 30cm Carbon Steel Wok is an aluminium wok with a carbon steel non-stick coating so it is both components. I hope this helps.

i agree with the previous questioner. A carbon steel wok must not have a non stick coating as it would make it impossible to season.

Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know they say " some carbon steel pans may not have non stick coating on the pan. However, all of our carbon steel pans do have non-stick coating"

This pan already has a non stick coating on it. No need to season. It does not recommend it in the instructions.

You can’t use metal utensils on it and it doesn’t get as hot as a stainless steel wok. I’d recommend buying a stainless steel uncoated wok personally as these get much hotter.

This pan has a non stick coating on it. You cannot heat it to high temperatures because of this. I do not know what the non stick coating is made from.

The Argos Home 30cm Carbon Steel Wok is made of durable carbon steel. Nonstick pans are not suitable for stir-frying because food simply doesn't sear or caramelize as well as when you use carbon-steel. The coating is not Teflon.
