Accidents happen and our treasured items break down - usually at the worst possible time.
Finding someone reliable to repair your item, or buying a new one, is an unexpected expense and could be a major hassle. But with protection from Argos Electrical Product Care, provided by the UK's leading specialist warranty provider, Domestic & General, you won't have to worry.
What's covered:
- Accidental damage protection - starting from the moment you get your product.
- Unlimited repairs or a replacement - if your product cannot be fixed.
- Breakdown cover - after the manufacturer's guarantee ends (provided the policy remains in force).
- Worldwide cover - your products are covered wherever you are. (claims will be settled in the UK).
- Replacement or vouchers - if we can't repair your product, you'll get a replacement (with same or similar features) or Argos vouchers (an excess may apply).
What's not covered:
Loss, theft, installation costs and cosmetic damage. For selected items over £149.99 (and mobile phones over £100) an excess will apply when making a claim (excesses range from £10 to £100).

Your existing policy might offer cover for accidental damage, fire or theft. However, you may find that an excess is payable, and a claim may affect the cost of your subsequent insurance premiums. The policy meets the needs of those who wish to protect goods against accidental damage and breakdown (if relevant).

It completely depends on the specific item and also the price of the item. The 8055741 reference care is on the PS5 product page and would need to be purchased to cover the PS5. The 8083847 would not be suitable.

The Breakdown cover starts immediately so includes the normal 12 months Warranty which is only for faulty items/parts in the first 12 months. With the extra cover you get immediate accidental damage cover (including water damage). Breakdown cover after your manufacturer's guarantee has ended. Unlimited repairs of your product.
A brand new replacement or Argos vouchers if we can't repair your product. This cover is applicable worldwide.

You can buy a policy up to 45 days after buying your product. Any terms or offers, such as discounts and vouchers that are linked to the purchase of the policy will also remain available for 45 days from the date you purchase your product.
