Easy to use. Uses a lot of cleaning fluid. Have cleaned carpet twice already. Don’t know if I need to experiment with attachments to remove stains that still bother me. Hopefully I will get there eventually. More convenient than renting a carpet cleaner. Sadly I Can’t give it 5 stars.

I brought this for my next door neighbour after she was impressed with my Vax carpet cleaner after borrowing it. She is absolutely thrilled with this and it's made her life easier to keep carpets cleaned especially with a young dog in the house !!! Ps Buddy is adorable dog 🐕

I bought this week ago and it is brilliant only one fault about it it said dog friendly but it doesn’t really pick the dog hairs it spits them back out but apart from that my carpet is like new

Great Cleaner
I needed a carpet cleaner and checked Which reviews and I must say the Vax has lived up to it's reputation, a heavy trafficked living room carpet (children + grandchildren) has been brought back to life. I have cleaned it twice and the cleaner is really easy to use and the results are great.

This won't dry with hot air, it dries via pulling as much moisture as possible from the carpet, this is the same with most of the carpet cleaners.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Vax Platinum Power Max Upright Carpet Cleaner: On this model you do not have to measure the solution - there is a solution tank that you pour the solution into, the machine then automatically mixes the solution with the clean water at the correct ratio for you. Any solution left in the tank thank then be returned to the solution bottle to use another day.

The hose on the cleaner reaches up to 2.5m. I'm unable to say if it will stretch to the top of your stairs. You would need to measure your staircase to see if the hose will reach.
