Great Phone When Working
Worked well for nearly two weeks, then issues with the network couldn’t connect to WiFi or would then would drop out, issues with texts coming through, however put my sim into another device and worked fine, did a software update which I thought would fix it, but still the same, great phone when working, however will be going back to my iPhone, which luckily I hadn’t sold yet.

Privacy Innovation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Galaxy S23 Ultra and i was pretty happy with it but when the chance came to upgrade to the Galaxy S26 Ultra I took it. The biggest reason was the new screen tech that powers the Privacy display. I’d wanted to try out a privacy screen protector on my S23 but with the drawbacks that come from having an additional layer on top of my screen i held off. Now with the Privacy Display being built into the device itself i got to experience the best of both worlds. You can set the Privacy display to turn on in specific scenarios or it can be always on, I opted for it to turn on for notifications, banking apps and the browser. With the way the tech works it does drop the resolution of the screen and give it a slight tinge when its fullscreen but for my use cases this doesnt matter as i can still clearly see what i am doing on the screen whilst protecting my private info from prying eyes. The Privacy display also works from all angles which is a step above the external screens that you can buy. Videos look amazing and the 120hz makes scrolling through documents and in menus smooth. It gets really bright and with it being an OLED display the blacks are truly black and allow you to see things as they are meant to be. Whilst I’ve been hesitant to use AI features I have to concede that the Call Assistant feature is game changing for me. I can send any incoming call to be answered by an AI agent with the entire conversation being transcribed on screen for me to decide if I want to take the call, if i cant it allows me to go back later and actually see why the person was calling me and respond. Its basically a modern voicemail. Audio Eraser stood out for me, I’ve used it before but it can now clear up audio on youtube! Its really good and managed to reduce wind and fan noise in multiple videos without dropping the volume of the voices. I had to rewatch sections with it on & off to convince myself that it wasn't the creator that had managed to clear up their own audio. The battery can last me the entire day from about 7am till about 11pm with 5+ hours of screen on time consisting of a lot of youtube and games. The phone is perfectly balanced and can be one handed without fear of it falling as the weight ensures it sits perfectly. The camera island lends itself as a natural place to put your finger but it does give the phone a major handicap if you are using it without a case and that is the severe rocking you experience when you put it on a table and try to use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this phone for 3 weeks now having upgraded from an S23 ultra. The biggest benefit I've noticed has been the battery life. Whilst I would always need to charge my old phone at least once during the day there hasn't been a time yet that I've got close to running low all whilst utilising the battery saving feature and only ever charging to 90%. The next big difference is the privacy screen. I thought it would be a bit of a gimmick but it actually works really well. I find it particularly useful when messages pop up on screen and they alone are private without affecting the rest of the screen - useful when driving and using the phone as a sat nav as only you can see the message! In other areas the gains are marginal. Yes, apps open quicker but in a side by side test with the S23 ultra the difference is minimal. The camera is a little better in 'standard' shots with significant gains in the use of the zoom. 10x zoom seemed a gimmick on the S23 ultra whereas pictures are much better on the S26 ultra. Low light photos are also much better. A big difference seems to be in the photo editing. It's insane how quick it can edit photos based on your suggestions and how realistic they look. "Remove the big tree and make it look like its snowing" 10 seconds later you have a picture that could fool anyone. I'm not sure how often I'll use that feature but its scary how well it works! Having always had a flip case it was disappointing that Samsung haven't got a flip case which integrates with the phone. The window case on the S23 ultra which showed notifications and enabled some control of functions / turned the screen on and off was useful. Whilst there are 3rd party flip cases the integration isn't there. All in all I'm really pleased with the phone. It looks and feels like a premium product the screen is great, camera great, it's fast and the battery lasts all day. It was easy to get set up too using Smart Switch.
