Large planter
Ive not used these yet as im waiting to paint and plant them up. They are lovely planters and perfect for what I need. Im not sure how long they'll last and some of the wood was already splitting but for the cost even if they only last a few years they will be worth it. I will be treating the wood and lining before using to hopefully prolong

Lovely container
Easy to assemble. Would recommend treating the wood before assembly if putting outside. Very pleased with this purchase.

Brilliant planter, a must purchase!
This wooden planter is brilliant. It was easy to put together and the fittings were of a good quality. Everything fitted beautifully! The size is rather large and it will need a lot of compost to fill it, but it will accommodate a lot of plants and as it is big.The scalloped edge makes it look more attractive and as there are wooden ledges on the outside, this will help to move the planter much more easily. The only downside (if at all) is that the wood absorbs the paint easily and it has taken a lot of coats of coloured wood stain to get a solid colour without the wood grain showing through. Maybe use wood primer for the first coat or if you are using oil, it would probably need two coats. There are only 2 drainage hole so we drilled more so that the compost won't be saturated. Really impressed with this and a great price point too.

Great planter for our son
We bought this at the weekend and it’s lovely easy to make and our 4 year old has now planted seeds in it patiently waiting for flowers to grow Thanks Argos

Good product for a reasonable price
This is a good planter that looks great in my garden. I only put 4 stars because I had to drill extra drainage holes (there are only two), plus the wood comes untreated, so I had to paint it. However, it is very easy to put together and very reasonably priced. Great product!

So far so good
These look very pretty and have good capacity, however they do require some treatment and though I did, moisture has already bent the base a little. That said, they look very sturdy overall, time will tell I suppose, as I'm still to plant stuff in them.

Sturdy
Better than I expected and easy enough to put together on my own, very durable

Hello there,
McGregor Large Scalloped Edge Wooden Planter
It would depend entirely on what size bag of compost you purchase. The capacity of this planter is 68 litres, so if the bag was 10 litres you would need 7 for example.
I hope this information helps. Thanks for using Q&A.
