I should have read the reviews - the bees and the pieces they are attached to, are cheap plastic. And the bees do not come attached to the holdbacks. The force needed to push them into place, is enough to break them off, very easily. It happened with both bees. The holdbacks themselves as a result now have holes in the end.

The bee broke off when fitting it. Took a lot of time to glue that sucker back on as it just wouldn't stick. They look grand but just think they could be sturdier.

I bought the rail and holdbacks despite some of the more negative reviews. They are of better quality than I expected, there is a weight to the bees and if you handle them carefully they are easy to put attach. I am very pleased with the purchase.

We've had these up with the matching curtain pole for about 6 months now. They're very stylish and good value for the money. I'd have preferred a cast metal item, they feel like plastic but to be honest, once up on the pole, it doesn't really matter.. they look great, a muted and tasteful colour, not tacky and they finish off the window nicely
