Philips BA303/60 Baristina Bean to Cup Coffee Machine

A mixed experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially thought this product was the bees knees! I absolutely love that it has a built in grinder, a stroke of genius is that the tamper has a button to eject used coffee. The bane of my existence is slamming tampers against my kitchen worktop to get the stuck coffee out of them. I loved that you slid the tamper to grind the coffee into it and then it started pouring your drink! I thought the milk frother was handy and stylish. But as time went on, I experienced problems. A major one being coffee spilling out from the machine after grinding. My once sleek new machine now has tiny coffee grounds stuck in it. The middle button doesn’t seem to do anything at all, instead of making a super large coffee. The instructions are not clear at times either. Pictures only is not helpful. The milk frother was great until I see I can barely put any milk in it before it will overflow. It’s quite a large device to give so little milk. My drink often has some coffee grounds in it due to the grinder issue. I will be contacting Philips but it’s not a glowing review for such an expensive machine.

Very nice, fresh coffee just lacking in instructio

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coffee machine is lovely and compact with a matte black finish (white also available). It is also one of the quieter machines I've used. As for ease of use, I dont feel that you get enough to help you start up or how to get the most put of the product. I scanned the QR code and it didn't work. I ended up on YouTube. Also the leads are too short, the machine and milk foamer need to be right near a plug which isn't always possible in every home. Once I knew how to use it, it was very easy and the coffee tasted great. Freshly brewed like a barista prepared it in my kitchen.

Easy to use & clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is easy to use with just three buttons - espresso, lungo and extra caffeine. The instructions to set up are easy to follow, and the machine is easy to clean. I have used 2 different bags of coffee beans to try and found that they both worked very well. I’m currently using a third bag which is a different brand to see if the taste is any different. The water tank is rather large and I find that I don’t have to refill it as often as previous machines I’ve tried. The ground coffee is easy to dispose of after use and doesn’t make a mess. The milk frother isn’t as good as others I’ve tried as it only has two settings - hot froth and cold froth. I much prefer steamed milk with my coffee but it still works well with the machine. The frother is easy to clean, however be careful to not go over the max line for milk as it will overflow (I’ve learned this the hard way). I have tried the milk frother with regular semi skimmed milk, and two different oat barista milks. I found that it worked best with cows milk. Overall I’d say the machine is worth the investment, but the milk frother can go amiss unless you love a cappuccino.

Wonderful espresso machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sleek and modern espresso machine which is easy to use and easy to maintain. The espresso machine itself looks beautiful in my kitchen set up and I love the full automation of the process. Moving onto the milk frother, I found this works well with dairy and non-dairy alternatives. Gave a particularly good froth to my oat milk. In conclusion, it's a lovely espresso machine and the added milk frother makes it perfect for any hot and cold coffees.

Super easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster to test in exchange for my review. I've been using this coffee machine and milk frother for a few weeks now and I really like it. Firstly, it looks gorgeous in my kitchen! It's a really nice in-between where it's nicer than a pod machine, but so much simpler, quicker and easier to use than a full espresso machine. It takes whole beans and has 3 settings depending on the size and strength of coffee you want. Easy to clean as well thanks to the button to get rid of used grounds easily! It also came with a milk frother which is a really nice addition, also very easy to use and can be used to create hot, frothy milk or just to heat milk. This is a little less easy to clean because the hot milk sticks to the inside, however the parts are magnetic which makes it easier and feels premium. No issues using either of them so far, would recommend!

The coffee tastes fresh and strong. It heaps up quickly and saves time in the morning. Design is compact and modern. It does not take that much space. Cleaning this machine is also simple.

Looks perfect in my kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee machine is one of the best I’ve used! My whole family agree. It consistently makes delicious coffees. My favourite is a latte. I use oat milk in the milk frother and it makes the milk the right temperature and consistency for a latte, making it perfect every time. It fits in my kitchen perfectly and matches the colour scheme. It’s very easy to clean, does not leak at all. Overall I really love this coffee machine, it is very quick and sorts my morning coffee for work!
