Bought for my son who loves the colour black curtains walls blinds this lamp adds light in an otherwise dark room. This lamp has saved me from numerous accidents involving Lego and bare feet. The swing arm is great for more focused light when needed at his desk a good quality light.

Great lamp for the price
Wanted a task light with the look of an Anglepoise but without the hefty price tag and this fitted the bill perfectly. It looks quite good and was easy enough to put together. Seems quite flexible although haven't really tested it that much yet. Only 3 stars as the switch is on the cord at floor level rather than at the back of the lampshade, so if you place it behind a sofa like I have then turning it on and off is a bit of a pain. I'm also struggling to find a bright enough bulb to fit it, but that would probably be an issue with any lamp. Shame it doesn't come in a range of colours. Cannot rate the brightness as it doesn't come with a bulb, so brightness is entirely dependent on the bulb you choose to use.

Somewhat Disappointed
I bought the lamp on line and the process was simple and quick for collection at local Argos/Sainsbury store. However was disappointed that bulbs were not included and had to be ordered separately. Two separate parcels then had to be collected and both were not available at the same time.

The supplier has advised the following for the Swing Arm Floor Lamp - Matt Black:
"The total length of cable is 2.4m, the length from switch to plug is 93cm." Yes, the switch is on the cable. We cannot give an exact answer as to whether it could be reached in bed as it'd depend on how the cord is laid out, where the lamp is in relation to the bed and the socket, and so on. It is, however, possible that they could access this lamp's switch from their bed if the set up was done the right way.
