Had to return this item as it couldn't be assembled due to uneven surface around the screw holes preventing the pieces from slotting together.

Shame about the lightweight base.
Stays in position, unlike some similar lamps that spring back to their default position. Unfortunately the base is very lightweight. I had to put a gym weight on the base to stop it falling over when the lamp is angled to the side.

Great all-round lamp, and good-looking too.
This a very useful lamp which serves very well as a reading lamp as I can pull it down to book level. I can also use it for my artwork on a table or on the floor with excellent adjustability to focus on my work. It gives good illumination in generally and for detail. It is easy to articulate into the correct position. The lamp is aesthetic in its simple industrial style, and fits in well my other furnishings. It has a slim silhouette that makes it almost invisible when not in use. Really great lamp!

Great adjustability
Very adjustable. Perfect light for when I'm crafting or reading. Base could do with being a little heavier to make it more stable. I have it by a coffee table which stops it from leaning. Overall happy with it.

It's fantastic value and works very well, functional without looking too basic! The recommended bulbs are a hospital-lighting hate crime, so make sure to go for more mild, warm ones along with the lamp instead of the recommended ones.

The supplier has advised the following for the Swing Arm Floor Lamp - Matt Black:
"The total length of cable is 2.4m, the length from switch to plug is 93cm." Yes, the switch is on the cable. We cannot give an exact answer as to whether it could be reached in bed as it'd depend on how the cord is laid out, where the lamp is in relation to the bed and the socket, and so on. It is, however, possible that they could access this lamp's switch from their bed if the set up was done the right way.

Yes, this is fine if using a halogen, just ensure it does not exceed a 60 W and is golfball shaped. A LED bulb should be no more than 10 Watts.
