excellent Machine ive had these back in the 80s under the same name as Numatic this one slightly smaller tanks but does exactly the same job 5 STAR i might add. it really is a excellent machine and i will say its the best on the market great pick up ,the secret is Don't soak your carpets no need to push on to the carpet to hard try to clean against which way the carpet pile runs . Remember DON'T soak and you can put 20 degrees warm water in keep it at that, if you dont use there said carpet shampoo use carpet cleaner that has defoamer in...can pickup in major shops say 50ml in tank and fill up rest with warm water. one more tip if putting together from new hoses and water jet pipes make sure the water metal connecters are fully pressed home they will click in,if you don't water jets won't release water. Happy cleaning

You can definitely use this as a regular hoover and I bought mine for this very reason as the suction is even stronger than the usual Henry Hoover and it is my main hoover as well as wet and dry or floor cleaner. You will need to purchase the filter and bags separately from the Henry website. Check the width of those items though as there are two sizes you can order. The only thing downside is that its quite bulky to manoeuvre around and the long electric cable needs manual rewinding.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Henry Wash HVW 370-2 Cylinder Carpet Cleaner: I can confirm that this machine can be used for vacuuming water as it is a wet only vacuum.

Absolutely yes, you just put it on suction only and not Spray. I have used this a few times to mop up water from my washer when it is blocked!
