About this product
When you need to get a wheelchair or scooter over a doorstep, into a car, or up a low step, this lightweight suitcase ramp folds open and locks securely in place. Made from rust-free aluminium, it stays light enough to carry but strong enough to handle wheelchairs, scooters, walkers and rollators without flexing or wobbling. Milled safety treads grip wheels firmly, even in damp conditions, and raised side walls keep you centred as you roll across. When done, it folds in half like a suitcase with a carry handle, so you can tuck it in a car boot or cupboard without fuss.
The folding design means you can set it up in seconds, then pack it away just as quickly for storage or travel. The slip-resistant surface works in all weather, so you get reliable traction whether it is dry or wet outside. I bought this for my dad who is recently using a wheelchair. It is lightweight yet sturdy and hooks over the lip of the step into / out off the door. He is tall and heavy but it took his weight with no problem. It folds into two so is easy to store and light enough to carry about.

There’s too many variables for us to be able to advise with accuracy. The ramp has a load capacity of 272kg (42 stone). It's suitable for mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs and powered wheelchairs.
The supplier also adds this: “the customer would need to obtain a full risk assessment for them on this item.”

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Aidapt 2ft Lightweight Suitcase Ramp: It would be difficult to give an exact height as the manual does advise to ensure the gradient of the ramp should not be positioned beyond the ability of the user .

The lip on the item would rest on the required surface you need to place it on. This lip is the same lightweight aluminium material that the ramp is manufactured from. Without knowing more about the car, we cannot confirm if it'd scratch it but there may be a risk it could.

Without more info on the size, weight, and specs of the mobility scooter, we cannot be exact but this can be used for that purpose in subject to it being less than the size of the ramp and less than the weight limit for it. The max user weight is 272kg (43st).

This should be fine for use in a wheelchair to access a building or vehicle, however this does depend on the gradient. Do not attempt to use ramps on gradients above 1 in 12 (1:12 or 4.76° or 8.3%). Please also check the gradient your wheelchair is capable of.
