Cute radio
I’d been looking at these radios for a while as they are really cute and eventually decided to take the plunge. For me, they have the advantage of a built-in rechargeable battery unlike many of the other models and as the display can be switched off when it’s not in use a single charge seems to last reasonably well. The tone and volume are good but I’ve only used it on ‘talk’ channels so can’t comment on the quality of sound when music is played on it. The aerial, which a lot of people comment on, doesn’t seem to be very strong. With the radio being so small I find myself picking it up to use the controls and see the display. If you tilt it backwards to see what you are doing you really have to make sure that there’s nothing in front of you that the aerial could hit or catch on as I’m not convinced that it would survive it. The DAB+ signal here isn’t great and there are only certain places in the house where it works but when this radio is in one of those places it works well. It would be lovely to have an internet radio this size but at least this one also works as a Bluetooth speaker so there is a way round it.

Little orange one
Absolutely perfect for carrying around with me in the house as I have a tendency to flit about

Issues with signal interference when charging
Looks great and sound quality is good but the dab signal drops when the radio is charging. This is a frustrating limitation.

Fantastic little radio
Had this radio approximately 3 weeks. We love this little radio, the sound is amazing, it's easy to search for stations (only downside is the very small writing telling you what station it is, glasses required) the battery lasts for a good.amount of time, it doesn't take up hardly any space ,probably smaller than your hand. We haven't saved any stations yet. Not felt the need too.I would recommend this radio

FORM DEFEATING FUNCTION
A lovely little machine to behold with good sound for its size. Unfortunately, it can take up to ELEVEN steps to recall your preset stations. Such is the tediousness of its operating system that I will normally use a radio costing 25% of the Petite 2. Simply because its user friendly design has 5 preset buttons atop the machine - 1 press and you're on the station you want. 1 press versus 11 - do the maths Roberts designers. Live with your creations in a practical setting for a reasonable period of time, before unleashing them on your gullible legacy customers and those seduced by 'cool' retro looks. We all deserve better and you need to try harder. The Petite remains as a forlorn but pretty little ornament.

Small radio with a big sound
I bought this back in April, for my husband & he absolutely loves it. For such a small radio, the sound quality is amazing. I’ve just purchased another for my son’s 50th birthday; he fell in love with its size, range of fun colours, & quality of tone. The best things certainly come in small packages.
