very messy shaver bad Design
I have found that this model of the Braun electric shaver is badly designed as it disposes hair cuttings while in use. It gives a good shave but prefer previous models to this one where you have to remove blade cutters to empty contents.

Its a fine cutting foil and the run time is good also and defiantly gives a smooth finish and the contour head is great and flexible.

No English charger!
The shaver itself is quite wonderful but what really frustrated me was it doesn’t even come with an English charger and had to pay out £12..00 quid on eBay to get one.

Close shave and great battery
Really pleased with the close shave this gives me, and it has excellent battery life. Only thing I think is missing from this model is a long hair / edge trimmer which my old Braun shaver had.

Braun recommends replacing the shaver head (foil and cutter block cassette) on your Braun Series 5 52-A1000s electric shaver every 18 months to maintain optimal performance. Over this period, the cutting parts naturally wear down after cutting an estimated 6 million hairs.
