Customers Say
The Shark Navigator vacuum offers excellent suction, easy maneuverability, and works well on carpets and hard floors. It's lightweight but a bit heavy for some. Lacks multiple attachments, especially a stair brush.

Great Buy
Bought two weeks ago, it's a great hoover the suction in impressive compared to my Dyson. Great value for money, easily switches from hard floors to carpet. Filters are easily removed for cleaning and the lights on it are a great addition.

Shark Navigator Vacuum cleaner
I recently purchased the Shark Navigator Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, and I must say I’m genuinely impressed with its performance so far. The suction power is excellent—it picks up dust, debris, and even stubborn dirt from carpets with ease. I’ve also used it on hard floors, and it transitions smoothly without losing efficiency. My home feels noticeably cleaner after each use. One feature I really appreciate is the large dust capacity, which means I don’t have to empty it constantly. The design is also quite practical, with a long hose and useful attachments that make it easy to clean stairs, corners, and hard-to-reach areas. Although it’s slightly on the heavier side, the swivel steering helps with manoeuvrability, so it’s not too difficult to handle once you get used to it. Overall, I think this vacuum offers great value for money. It’s powerful, reliable, and does exactly what it promises. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient upright vacuum cleaner.

Great hoover
Had this for a month, I love it. It has 2 settings - hard floor and carpet and different suction levels which are easy to adjust. It has lights on so you can see all the dust you can't normally see. Easy to use, comes with one attachment. I did buy an extra brush one so I can do my stairs which cost £15. It's a shame it doesn't come with one. It's very lightweight but it does mean it keeps falling over when using the hose part. Easy to empty. Really like this hoover overall!

Excellent machine
This is our second Shark Vacuum. We had the first one for 10 years and didn’t have any problems until just recently. That’s why we didn’t hesitate to purchase a new model.

You can purchase the "Shark Anti Hair Wrap Pet Power Brush" directly from the Shark Clean website. It is sold separate, and is not included with the vacuum. It is the accessory that is most suitable for stairs and compatible with this vacuum.
If your Shark NV180UK is difficult to move on carpet, try lowering the suction to the minimum setting as high suction can create a strong seal on thick carpet. While Carpet mode is recommended for best performance, switching to Hard Floor mode on very dense carpets can sometimes improve manoeuvrability. If the red light stays on, please also check for any blockages, as restricted airflow can trigger the indicator.
Any vacuum with a rotating brush roll and strong suction can create V-lines on a carpet. They are completely harmless to your carpet, and do not pose a concern. They are created when the carpet fibres are moved in different directions during the cleaning sessions.
The brush roll cover for this vacuum cannot be removed.
This hoover is equipped with a standard 3-pin plug suited for a UK outlet, and does not have a battery.
This vacuum does not have lift-away capabilities.
I would say no - its very bad on thick pile carpets. My previous Shark was excellent and Ive been so, so disappointed with this one. If you have the air bit fully open to reduce suction, it just about works on a deep carpet but then it leaves wheel tracks which is another terrible thing on this one vs the previous Shark.
The Shark NV180UK is a corded upright vacuum designed with adjustable suction and a brush roll that works well on both carpets and hard floors. However, if you’ve experienced difficulty pushing a corded model on rugs or deep pile carpets, it’s often due to the strong suction creating resistance. For easier maneuverability, we recommend using the suction control slider or carpet setting to reduce suction slightly when vacuuming high-pile rugs. This helps prevent the vacuum from sticking and makes it easier to push.
No, the brush roll doesn`t have blades.
I dont have a question or an answer but I feel the could be made a bit clearer in the product description or title. Its taken me almost 10 minutes to find that this is corded and not cordless.
This is a corded vacuum equipped with a standard plug. It does not feature a battery.
