It makes a massive difference!!

It was designed for use with a surround fitting snuggly into the wispa and nicely onto the board, this acts as a damper also for the slight movement of the board which stops the impact being transferred into the wall, however the wispa is very quiet without a surround and to dampen the movement some small pieces of foam or material behind the board will dampen the slight movement so it doesnt keep moving backward and forward, so technically you do not need a surround but it looks better with.

No. But any brand dartboard can be used quite easily but winmau, red dragon and Nodor boards are the most straightforward to fit.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Winmau Wispa Sound Reduction System.
It can be used with any Red Dragon or Winmau dartboard.
There is a specific Winmau Wispa light that is compatible with this product.

Yes this can be used with any dartboard. If using a Winmau board you fix the disc to the rear of the board with 2 plugs provided into holes which are on every board that are used during production. If the triple core board is used you have to make holes in the carbon sticker on the rear. For any other make of board you have to fix the foam with a screw or piece of tape, just be careful to get it central and straight. As for the Plasma light. Yes they work great together
