I’ve had these curtains up for a couple of weeks now and it does keep the majority of the light out. At the top light does shine in through the hoops as they are eyelet curtains but it’s not enough that it disturbs you. However they are not very thick so do not keep the room warm (heat in) like my other blackout curtains.
