Awkward and disappointing
It wasn't for me unfortunately. Awkward to hold and cold shot in an even more awkward position. Sorry Dyson hated it and returned sadly.

This dryer is amazing! It’s no exaggeration to say it’s the best Dyson I have ever used and the results have been incredible.

Another step up
I bought the Supersonic r three weeks ago and have been very impressed. I previously used a Supersonic and then Supersonic Nural and I have to say the supersonic r is another step up. Whilst the previous versions were both great, the Supersonic r feels more powerful and yet a smaller and lighter form factor. I have short hair, so the previous Dyson Supersonic’s dried fairly quickly, but the power with the Supersonic r attachments let me style and dry even more quickly. The NFC in the attachments is super useful as I don’t have to think about adjusting the airflow or the temperature myself. I also still feel like my scalp and hair health are being looked after. I’ve not compared side-by-side, but I feel like the Supersonic r is quieter as well.

Latest Dyson Hairdryer
The hairdryer is a Christmas present for my Wife so she hasn’t had the chance to use it yet. It has been purchased as a replacement for her original Dyson hairdryer that is still as good as new to be honest, this is an upgrade for the latest technology. The demonstration in the Dyson store on Oxford Street of the new hairdryer was good enough to convince us to buy it.

Great lighter Dyson hairdryer. I do have the older supersonic model and this is a much better lighter hairdryer so I’m happy with my purchase😁

Huge plug!
The actual hairdryer is fine and as described. Light, compact and powerful. The plug however is the largest, heavy and bulky - presume all the power comes from this - but it’s completely impractical and defeats the object of a lightweight item. The plug is so large you can’t always plug it in if the plug socket is for example close to the dressing table. It just doesn’t fit. For the price this is a problem.

Disappointed
Hair dryer is good, but I got home and this item is in a cardboard box, no case. Very very disappointed considering the cost. I am returning this item and will re purchase if Dyson decide to supply a case!

Overall look is Lazy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using my new Supersonic r For about two weeks, I like the design… However I do feel that it is cheaply built and probably the worst colour choice which doesn’t help its look overall… I also feel ( although the performance is not an issue) that for the price Dyson could have at lest tried to give us professionals a sexier looking product!? That’s why I’m giving a Four.

Flyaway attachment
The Flyaway attachment is the ideal finishing tool for sleek, straight styles. It harnesses the Coanda effect to hide flyaways using air, not heat. Longer hairs are attracted and lifted to the front while flyaways are pushed out of sight.
The attachment gives you a smooth, shiny finish and is designed to be used on high speed and low heat. For thicker hair, use higher heat. And for finer hair, use a cooler setting. The Flyaway attachment should be used only on dry and straight hair or hair that’s been straightened.
Re-engineered Diffuser
Engineered to disperse air evenly around curls, the Diffuser simulates natural drying, helping to reduce frizz and define curls and waves. Smoothing nozzle
This attachment lets you dry and style your hair simultaneously with gentle, low-speed, concentrated airflow. It helps to remove frizz and create a sleek, natural finish. The Smoothing nozzle can add width to your hair, or you can use it with a barrel brush to bend the ends and create bounce.
