I bought this Hisense TV with Freely so that I could watch TV in a room upstairs with no aerial. I can watch live TV, catch up and use Prime Video. I dont have things like Netflix or Disney but if you do you can watch them too. I can also mirror from my phone. Its just what I needed.

Limited app choces
Apparently Hisense has a closed system and offers approximately 400 apps, not many of which interested me. Unable to download the apps I normally use, which wee always available on my old tv. This seems very odd considering it was easy to connect to the internet but then unable to utilize it.

Yes you can but bare in mind its awful. Its inconsistent and drops out of signal each time you try to use full screen. And looking on many forums its a known issue with hisense. Id say pay the extra for samsung.

You can watch BBC iPlayer and listen to live BBC radio via Freely, but you won’t be able to use the BBC Sounds app for radio catch‑up directly on the TV.
To access BBC Sounds, you would need to either open it on your phone and cast or mirror it to the TV, or plug in a streaming device such as a Fire Stick.
