Bought this lamp as a gift for a friend. Im so glad I opened it to fit a bulb as the silver was rusted and the base had rust flakes.

The lamp is beautiful, I did however change the shade as I was looking for a darker grey to match my sideboard, I did also buy the recommended bulbs so the cost did jump up slightly for me but still very much worth the money (I have included in my photos the order numbers for the lamp shade and bulbs of this helps).

Poor quality
Lovely lamp unfortunately like many of the previous reviews it was very badly tarnished and had to be returned. I had hoped that with so many comments about poor quality Argos would have improved their quality control but sadly not

Having checked, this take screw in bulbs, not bayonet. It takes a classic E27 edison screw filament LED bulb of a recommended maximum wattage of 10 watts. It's also, therefore, not likely to be compatible with batten lights.

The bulb recommended for this lamp are very bright, I actually went and bought the equivalent to 40 watt much better, softer
