Excellent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not much of a baker when it comes to bread but this Tefal breadmaker is so simple and easy to use, It's excellent being able to make our own bread knowing exactly what's in it. It gives the house an amazing smell when its cooking. I've also used it for loaf cake and it comes out amazing. The little handbook for advice and starter tips and recipes is great for beginners too. It helps you with your bread crust level as I prefer a lighter colour.

Saves a lot of work with great results
This is the first bread maker I've bought but I'm impressed. Good instructions and easy to use. Load the ingredients, select the required options and turn it on. Leave it to do it's thing and the result is a lovely loaf of bread. Lovely texture with crust as I selected. Makes up to a large loaf.

Perfect bread
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This makes the perfect loaf every time and makes the house smell incredible whilst cooking, it stays fresh for a good few days so no need to worry, I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends

Generally happy but bread is a bit dry
I bought this a while ago and have made lots of different types of loaves using the recipes in the book as well as from other sources. The bread is good but always seems to come out quite dry, even when set to 'light' crust. I will experiment more but I didn't have this issue with my old breadmaker. I haven't tried to make pasta, jam, or dough yet but did try the cottage cheese which, while delicious, only made a tiny quantity so was uneconomical. I'm generally happy with the breadmaker but need to experiment more!

Faulty Product
Bought it 2 days ago and unfortunately I have had to return it with speed. Following the instructions for making wholemeal bread,, which I thought came out wonderfully until I noticed the bottom of the bread was burnt and part of the rim of the breadmaker had melted away. I am disappointed that this product turned out to be faulty, as I had such high hopes based on previous reviews.

Very easy to use
Bought only a few weeks ago and I'm very happy with it. Had few bread machines over the years and I think this one is the best.

Good machine
Have used this machine for a good while now and about 3 times a week. It's a good product and makes a great crust. Like any bread maker, the better the flour the better the bread. I've been baking my own bread for about 20 years now and my two previous machines were panasonic, so in comparison the Tefal is somewhat cheaper but still makes a good loaf. I use the French bread setting mainly with Canadian very strong flour which is about a 3 hour cycle. The panasonic was a slightly better French loaf as it has a longer rise time taking the cycle to about 6 hours. Both machines of course have timers so you can throw the ingredients in before you go to bed and set the timer.Presto. All in all a tidy machine for your money.

Good Machine
So far have made a quick white loaf, which was lovely and a gluten free loaf, edible although I will look for other GF recipes to try and improve the texture. I also made some plum jam, which worked really well. So far am pleased with the machine and will try many more recipes. I do find the machine a little noisy but fortunately have a utility room, so use it in there.

Great product, does everything I want.
I bought the bread machine sole months ago. I’ve found a favourite recipe and mainly stick with that but have tried a few others and it works well as long as the instructions are followed. The recipe book seems to have a big focus on gluten free recipes, and it would’ve been nice to have just a normal, quick start recipe at the front first before all the extra dietary requirements recipes.

Hello Anna.
Tefal Pain & Delice PF240E40 Breadmaker:
The breadmaker produces an unsliced loaf, so the thickness of each slice will depend on how you cut it. However, this model makes a taller, narrower loaf rather than a wide sandwich-style loaf, so slices may be slightly smaller and not perfectly square like shop-bought bread. They can still be used for toasties, but may not fill the toastie plates completely.
Thank you for using Q & A.

Hello There.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Tefal Pain & Delice PF240E40 Breadmaker.
Some sourdough breads can be made in this bread maker, but they’re trickier than regular bread machine recipes. This is because sourdough requires a starter, which you have to make yourself and look after by feeding it regularly.
Thank you for using Q & A.
