Says Samsung on the tin but it's nothing like your phone or tab. Badly put together, case rattles, makes alot of noise. Yes you can turn off at mains and not set clock. 30 seconds button for quick start. Or up button, it rolls round very quickly you will have to adjust it. Slow cooking, about 10% under powered. Had 2 Panasonic's only lasted 2 years each. See if this lasts longer. Good luck registering 2 year guarantee. Customer help directs you to 5 year one which won't register, one year won't register, all I could do was the one click register on phone app. Still no idea how to use presets no instructions. Push button to select program then start you would think but no.

You dont have to use the 30 sec button to set the cooking times.
Just Select the appropriate power level by
pressing the Up or Down button. And then press the Select/Clock button. Set the cooking time by pressing the Up
or Down button.

Yes, you can set the defrost time yourself; by choosing the power level and the time you want to use it for.
There is a quick defrost option too,
The Quick Defrost features enable you to defrost meat, poultry, fish, frozen vegetable and frozen bread.
The defrost time and power level are set automatically.
You simply select the programme and the weight.
