Could be Better
Took quite a while to set up to my satisfaction, particularly the contrast and brightness. The remote is annoying. You have to press twice to achieve any picture, and the most useful control buttons are miniaturised .. not helpful for normal sized fingers! Stereo sound good with internal speakers. No sound bar necessary.

A satisfactory television.
I bought this Bravia to replace a similar sized Bravia that I bought 10 years ago, and which only just gave up the ghost. We had been very pleased with that one, and this new one is fine too, but not exceptional. I had hoped the operating system would have improved more over the last ten years. Overall, it works well enough, and the picture is just as good as the previous model. We use an external sound bar which is needed as the incorporated speakers are as poor as you'd expect. Interaction with the connected Apple tv is inconsistent - sometimes each will switch the other on and off, and sometimes not. Also, the tv takes far longer to start up than I expected, given the rate of progress in electronics over the last decade. However, despite being about the same size as the set I bought ten years ago, this new one was half the price, so I can't really complain. Another plus, is that this model doesn't use an external power brick - the set plugs directly into the mains.

Good quality TV
Great picture and sound for the price - kids love it. Would have given 5 stars except the TV has glitched twice - couldn’t turn the same show’s info off no matter what channel the TV was on even after turning on and off. Sorted by restarting through the settings. Second time the TV crashed and needed to restart.

Excellent value for money
Had Sony Televisions for over 40 years and never had any problems with them. We are very pleased with this television, excellent value for money and hope that it is as good as the other Sony Televisions that we have had. The only reason we got this one is because the last Sony Television is only 40 inches , but it is still working perfectly and has a excellent picture after 18 years.
