Nintendo Switch 2 Console Review
First hands on the Switch 2 and I'm really impressed overall especially the quality of it. The compatibility is excellent you can easily pair up the Switch 1 and 2 Joy-Cons with all the features including the ring fit accessory as well. WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for me has been flawless, same goes for the Joy-Cons no random disconnections, very stable and low input latency. The jump from the standard 60hz on displays to 120hz makes it so much smoother. The console interface is simple and easy to navigate through to games. On a screen this size and this resolution is sharp and crisp more than acceptable and now it can output 4k to TV's. One of the downsides to me is the Joy-Con grip accessory which isn't as comfortable as I'd like it to be.

Both the original switch and switch 2 connect to the tv using HDMI, so in that sense they are the same.
However there are some technical differences so the cables themselves are not interchangeable.

Yes, if you own a digital copy of a switch 1 game then you can download it on switch 2 by logging in on the same account.
You can also do a 1-time transfer of all your currently downloaded games and save data from the switch 1 to 2.
Note that as per Nintendos help pages there are a handful ofnswitch 1 games which do not work on switch 2. There are also some which cannot have their save data transferred from one console to another, but the game itself can be transferred.
