About this product
The Habitat Bournemouth Hideaway Desk gives you a proper workspace even when you have no room for a traditional desk. It looks like a smart wardrobe until you open the grey doors and pull out a full working surface with everything you need. There's a pull-out desk with plenty of room to spread out, three shelves including one for your keyboard, and four storage cupboards for files, supplies or whatever you need close at hand. Cable access is built in to keep wires tidy and out of sight. When finished, everything tucks away behind closed doors.
The solid pine finish gives it that natural wood look that works with most room styles, while the metal handles make opening and closing smooth and easy. There's a drawer with wooden runners for smaller items, plus a fixed shelf and an adjustable one that you can move to suit what you're storing. Wall fixing is recommended for stability, that's really important for tall furniture like this. Self-assembly with two people recommended, all fixings and instructions are included. Comes with a one-year guarantee.

So happy with it
I took ages to decide whether this hideaway desk would be worth it, but so glad l decided to go for it. It’s nice and heavy, good quality and looks great. I have the printer in the bottom, and my laptop and desktop screen on the top. Closing those doors and hiding it all away has transformed my space.

Very pleased with this purchase. Had seen a similar piece from a much more expensive company that was way out of my budget so have been research hidden desks that would fit a full size monitor for some time. It was straightforward to put together - took maybe 60-90 mins…..but I wasn’t rushing. One lower door had a slight dent when it arrived. Ordered a replacement part online that arrived within 48 hours - great service! Lower shelf has three possible positions so would fit my printer.

Nice, but differs from imagery
Nice unit, however it isn’t a warm grey as shown in the in-situ images, it’s a cold grey. Some of the pictures show a silver metal rack/sloder for the desk to pull out, and some make it look all wood/better quality. In real life it was all wood for the pullout - no cheap silver sliders. One down side is the grey surface scratches easily

Easiest buy ever.
Excellent, well made desk. It was very easy to put together, I was able to do it solo in a few hours. It makes me so happy to be able to close the doors and put away all the work things for the evening or weekend.
