Painful to hold
I bought this for its suction ability which is brilliant but I am very disappointed with a couple of its features. I find the vacuum painful to hold as you have to keep your finger on the on button all the time which means that the handhold rests and puts pressure on my thumb which is very painful.

Purchased two weeks ago, came with the stand as a gift, which is excellent to hold all of the attachments and makes it easier to access them. Much lighter than my old Dyson and use it everyday to pick up the bits that get walked into the house.

Powerful Cleaning and Excellent Performance
I’m very satisfied with this vacuum cleaner overall. It cleans perfectly, and all the attachments work great. The one designed for dusting hard furniture is amazing because it eliminates the need to wipe with a cloth afterward. My only concerns are that it feels a bit heavy for me, and the power button needs to be held down continuously for the vacuum to operate, which makes my hand tired. It would be much better if there were a button that you press once to turn it on and press again to turn it off. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Disappointed
I bought this to replace my Dyson V10 and I am disappointed because this is so heavy. I hardly can hoover whole house because my arm hurts. It’s newer model so I don’t understand why is it so much heavier than the old one.

Still think Dyson are the best
I’ve had my V25 detect extra for a couple of weeks now. I also ordered the extra head with the light for hard floors. The main head is great and I’m very pleased with it. The extra detect head with light is not disappointing. You have to go over the floor quite a few times and I’ve even used it to see better my wooden floors and then swapped to the main head to pick up hairs etc rather than use the detect head. It would be better if the light was on the main head which is much more powerful and brilliant at picking up everything

Bought this recently to replace my v8. This is an amazing vacuum. It is powerful. The different suction levels are a great idea. It runs for longer. Bigger are forthcoming dust. It is a bit heavier to hold and the long nozzle does not slide on as easy as my last one. But I am pleased with.

A lot of Hype. Not as good as adverised
I purchased this item a few weeks ago and have used several times. Would I buy again? I would not. I prefer my old ball dyson as there's a button to press to change going from carpet to hard floor, and this dyson doesn' have this. I find it good for hard floors but very hard going on carpets. I also don't like the dustbin on this new model. It states it's so good as we don't have to touch the dirt. Well I didn't have to touch the dirt on my other Dyston, all I had to do was unclip from the body, and pull a lever to drop the contents into my main bin. What was so hard about that, and what is so good about this new one. I don't like this new one, as you can't take the bin off and wash it out and some of the contents inside the bin get stuck inside and I dont like this. What I like about the old Dyson is I could wash it out and it would smell clean, whereas this new Dyson, always feels dirty, as I can't wsh out the bin, and I'm sure with use, this is going to be a real problem. I would only give it a 3 maximum and I am being generous.

amazing - used previous vacuum on rug frequented by dogs and then used the Dyson - filled it in one session showing just how powerful this really is. In fact so powerful that can only really use in Econ mode on deep pile carpets.

Having looked into this, the Dyson V15 does have the Piezo sensor. It counts and categorises dust.
