Fantastic product
I absolutely love this machine. My friend and her daughter bought too and agree it’s a good send. We have 2 dogs and a large kitchen. Steve McQueen is programmed to clean every night and he’s there without fail. Set up was really easy and I watch his progress and he barely misses a spot. The side brush helps when he can’t reach corners. Mopping is great too. Easy to just add water and the mop plate. I do regular spot cleans and they are great too. I couldn’t live without Steve, he’s a blessing. This is a product I’d never have thought about buying a while ago.

Great at discount price
Great at the discount price I got it for. Not sure id have paid full price. We set it to clean each evening on our downstairs wooden floors which is great for us as no carpet etc. Don’t expect it to be as clean as a mop and bucket/hot water job. It’s more for light cleaning each day which works well for us.

Time saving
Biggest time saving device we have. Every evening after dinner we just let it do its thing and the whole house is vacuumed and mopped for the next day. Highly recommend. The emptying process can be a little noisy but it only lasts 10 seconds.

Useless.
I really wanted to like this however, it did not meet my expectations. It struggled to map the house and would go back to dock without fully mapping it. The mop function did not work work leaving dirt on the floor and not returning to docking station. I moved it around the house thinking it was the position but, after moving it 5 times I gave up and returned it. I got it on sale and thought it was a a good price but, it did not deliver and I had to get a different one. I gave it a 3 as it wasn’t bad on the carpet.

Charles - my new best friend
Charles is my new hired help and I am so glad I bought him. With 4 dogs in the house and a 3 year old, it felt like my floor was either covered in hair and mud (we're farmers), or I was tied to the hoover all day. Charles has completely changed that. I thank him every day. Seriously. So, here's some main good and bad points - - Charles works best in my house hoovering twice a day. Once daily can mean he gets clogged up and then won't suction properly. But again, 4 dogs, farmers, mud, hair etc. - downside of that is that the app can only schedule 1 cleaning session a day. I've found the mapping to be pretty simple and correct. Even moving the dock over from it's original spot and he still makes it home. - he can sometimes fail to dock with the mop pad on. But has been less frequent of late. - he can clean unmapped areas, so long as they don't overlay a mapped area, such as doing upstairs rooms that are above A mapped room. - only being able to map one room is a downside. It would be good to be able to map additional areas - 1 tank of water will do my downstairs floors (kitchen and living room, and navigates a threshold) maybe in the future I would have one with a water tank in the dock, but for now he it just have to refill daily. Not that much of a hardship. I change the pads out regularly too, but again, lots of animals. Would I be without Charles now? No!! If he dies, I will get another. I would probably upgrade to a never touch. How long will he last? No idea. I expect not as long as in a "typical" house, but everyday with him is a blessing. Blessed with a 2 year warranty. Do I recommend? Yes. I purchased in the sale. I believe my sanity is worth paying full price too.

Yes, you can use the Shark Matrix Plus 2‑in‑1 in more than one place, including multiple floors, but with a few practical notes, due to Multi Floor / Multi Location Use technology.
This robot vacuum uses "Matrix Clean technology", which allows it to make multiple passes over dirt and debris, ensuring no spot is missed. The self-cleaning brush roll digs nicely into carpets, while the "CleanEdge Detect" blasts debris out of corners for powerful cleaning around the edges of your house. The app setup is easy to do, and it includes Amazon Alexa compatibilities. The self-emptying base ensures that the maintenance of it does not become a chore. You will only need to empty it once every 30-60 days. Other self-empty robot vacuums such as the RV2900XEUK, AV2820VEUKWH and the RV2800ZEUKWH all have similar capabilities, and it boils down to your needs and preference.
We can confirm that this robot vacuum is suitable for cleaning carpets. However, it is not as effective for very thick carpets. It is mainly made for low and medium pile carpets. This vacuum can lift itself up to a maximum of 11.5cm when it comes to obstacles.
Yes, it can clean without ever being connected to the internet. Start and pause a run with the Clean button on the robot and it will return to the dock when finished. App features like mapping setup, room selection, no go zones, schedules and updates require Wi Fi; without the app, block off restricted areas physically.
To vacuum with the Self-Empty feature, use the Self-Empty Dust Bin. Do not install the Vac & Mop 2-in-1 Dust Bin.
