Great looking but painful to set up
The laptop looks great and is definitely a great laptop if 2 screens are required on the move. I had major issues with the installation not being able to set up an ASUS account without linking it to my email (which is too intrusive in my opinion) and then once the set up was finalised, there were issues with the battery and keyboard light remaining on when the laptop was switched off, indicating the USB or mechanical pogo pin connectors for the keyboard remained live after shutdown. There was no help for this on the internet except advice on modifying the BIOS which I am not qualified, capable or interested in, I want to purchase, simply and quickly setup and then use the laptop, I am not a PC or software engineer, a plain and simple user. By playing with various parts of settings, I found an ASUS firmware update in the optional software updates, not in the regular "mandatory" update section. This optional firmware fix was installed and fixed the problem, by luck more than judgement and the laptop now appears to work correctly and so now I can see how the laptop performs, which on first sight looks good and it is extremely quick and responsive. If I hadn't found this optional firmware update, the laptop would have been going back, hopefully this will assist any other new ASUS DUO users during their setup if they have the same problem and maybe ASUS should consider moving this optional update to the standard "mandatory" software update section, as this would have fixed the laptops issues automatically and I would not have wasted 4 hours of my life resolving the set up issues.

Asus duo - better choice than lenovo dual book
Excellent laptop, almost perfect. I Love the new found ease of interaction and productivity boost due to double screen space while keeping the portability. If you do need two screens for parallel use, instead of switching between windows, this is the best choice. I worked with Lenovo so far. It is dissapointing that Asus doesnt offer fingerprint and camera shutter here. Although lenovo will be relasing 14" dual screen laptop with stunning design as per lenovo standards and all the usual functionailty, I decided for Asus. The reason was the detachable keyboard that includes touchpad. I do like to keep the screen further away so a separate keyboard is fantastic. Lenovo's duo keyborad does not include touchpad, significant miss, keyboard is a separte piece of kit, charged separately, carrying separate keybord in some origami wrap, that is supposed to hold the laptop in steady stand... No thank you. Asus keyborad charges overnight inside the laptop, touchpad included right where needed and the integrated stand is absolutely robust. I will use the stand when travelling as in home office my table high stand works perfectly. As improvement I would like to see the fingerprint and camera shutter, also the screens are not completly aligned, ie due to light sensor dimming on main screen and a different angle of the wireless screen that catches light differently, the properties should be more aligned and work seamlessly on both screens. Also repositioning of windows when the extend screen setting is turned on is annoying, bits here and there. But overall is is a fantastic laptop, does exactly what I needed it for and I am happy to give up on stunning lenovo designs for Asus' practicality. For me it is a work laptop, so no extreme performance gaming tests. I also used it mostly plugged in at 80% healhly batterly levels, so no opinions on how it holds power yet. Used for only one week so far, so this is a feedback on 1st impressions. Hope this will help other customers decide.
