Customers Say
Lightweight, easy to use cordless mower with good battery life and multiple cutting heights. Assembly, especially the grass box, is often tricky. Some find it less powerful and battery life inconsistent.

Get the corded version!
Unable to cut through any reasonable length of grass, only bit it did go through was what I'd mowed with the corded version. Returned due to lawnmower not being able to mow a lawn.

Would love a refund
This had been the worse buy ever. I got this for my big birthday and it is completely rubbish. It can hardly cut the grass, is made from cheap parts and the charge doesn’t last long. I wish I could get my money back- have only used it twice. Argos you should be ashamed as this is unfit for purpose and I think trading standards should be made aware.

Light and easy
Brought this a couple of days ago and found assembly quite easy. The cuttings bin proved the most challenging but found a hard surface and took time to align from back to front worked for me. Used today on my allotment and did a good job on high cutting setting. Very pleased.

Hello PG.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for McGregor 31cm Cordless Lawnmower - 18V.
The charge on the battery will depend on the customers grass, if it is to long/thick/wet then the motor has to work harder so the battery will drain quicker. Usual times are 25-35 minutes.

Hello Al,
Regarding your recent query about the McGregor 31cm Cordless Lawnmower - 18V.
I can confirm no, you cannot use a Makita battery directly with the McGregor 31cm Cordless Lawnmower (18V) out of the box. While both systems operate on 18 volts, their physical plastic casing designs, rail slide guides, and metal terminal connectors are completely different.
A standard Makita 18V LXT battery will not physically slide or click into the battery housing bay of a McGregor mower
Thank you for using Q&A.
