The Decathlon Air Seconds 4.2 Tent makes family camping straightforward with inflatable beams that replace traditional poles. The Fresh and Black technology reflects sunlight to keep the interior cooler during the day, and blocks light at night so you can sleep past sunrise. Two separate bedrooms give privacy for families or groups of four, each with room for a pair of mattresses. The tunnel design creates full standing height in the living area, so you can move around comfortably when the weather keeps you inside.
The double-skin polyester construction includes taped seams for weather protection, and the sewn-in groundsheet keeps drafts and moisture out. Mosquito netting on the door lets you ventilate without letting insects in. The inflatable structure sets up with a pump (two people recommended), getting you pitch-ready in around fifteen minutes. Includes guy ropes and tent pegs for anchoring into soft ground. Two lantern hanging points let you add light where you need it. The tent packs into its carry bag for transport, and the UPF 50 fabric protects against sun exposure during outdoor adventures.

Tent is amazing shame about customer service
The tent is great, camped in heat with it and it was a lot cooler inside, great black out bedrooms which are spacious with lots of pockets to put all your belongings & hook for lanterns. Very easy to pitch (you have to buy the pump separately and electric pumps do not work) and easy to fold I did by myself with no issues. However costumer service was appalling and the tent was £60 cheaper in everywhere else so I massively regret buying from Argos.

Please note that the pump is not included with the tent. Decathlon sells all Air Seconds inflatable tents without a pump; if you do not already own one, it will need to be purchased separately.
When sourcing a pump, please keep the following details in mind:
- Recommended Tool: Decathlon recommends using the Quechua Ultim Comfort Hand Pump, which includes a built-in pressure gauge.
- Target Pressure: The structural air tubes must be inflated to exactly 7 PSI. Under-inflation will cause the tent to sag, while over-inflation can burst the internal TPU air bladders.
- Pump Compatibility: We advise against using standard 12V electric car tire pumps or air mattress pumps. Tire pumps do not provide enough air volume for efficient setup, and standard mattress pumps typically cannot reach the 7 PSI required to make the beams rigid.

The Decathlon Air Seconds 4.2 Fresh & Black is highly waterproof and specifically designed to withstand heavy rain.
Waterproof Ratings (Schmerbers):

Testing and Construction:
Decathlon tests this model under extreme conditions, including a tropical rain simulation of 200 liters of water per hour per square meter for three hours. The flysheet is made of PU-coated polyester with thermobonded sealed seams to prevent leaks. Additionally, the living area features a "zipped basin" groundsheet, which allows the edges to be lifted to prevent surface water from entering the tent.
This tent is very reliable for standard UK camping and can comfortably handle prolonged heavy rain. For the best performance, please ensure it is pitched correctly with all guy ropes deployed to maintain the necessary gap between the flysheet and the inner tent.
