About this product
The Habitat Chiltern Trundle Day Bed gives you a comfy spot to sit during the day and sleeping space for two when you need it. It's solid oak, that's natural hardwood known for its strength and those lovely grain patterns that make each one unique. The turned wood spindles add a scandi touch that works with most room styles. There's a second bed that rolls out from underneath, so you can put up a guest or give the kids somewhere to sleep without needing a spare room.
The main bed holds up to 100kg, so it's solid and stable for everyday use. Plywood slats are included to support the mattresses, they're already sized to fit. The oak finish protects the wood and keeps it looking good through regular use. Assembly takes two people, all the fixings and instructions are provided. It's a practical choice when you want flexible sleeping arrangements without taking up loads of space.

Stylish and comfortable guest bed
We bought this last week (delivery was efficient) and assembled it on the weekend. It’s beautifully stylish and easy to assemble. Possibly the only enhancement would be stronger slats but it is perfect for my daughter.

Very impressed
This bed frame arrived yesterday and I put it together within an hour. It was very easy to assemble. I was worried as the other review said it was difficult to assemble without pre-drilled holes, but this was only to attach the bed slates, which were on soft wood so it was easy enough with just a screwdriver. I'm extremely pleased with the quality and sturdiness of the frame. I love the design and it looks great as a spare bed in our office for when we have guests stay.

We are very happy with this bed. First box came damaged however argos resolved this and sent a replacement. Item is not fully solid oak with some veneer aspects which do not seem as high quality however overall we are happy with the look of the bed.

Incredible Quality for the Price
So I decided to upgrade my sons bed because I have a small 2 bed house and wanted more flexibility around sleeping arrangements when people stay. I have already bought the Chiltern double bed which is also incredible quality. Turns out the Chiltern Double is exactly the same black colour and styling to my far more expensive Ercol wardrobe, side tables and Desk. So when I ordered this I was hoping for the same quality as my Chiltern bed and honestly I'd say it's probably even better. No signs of cost cutting on the quality at all. While it suggests 2 people to assemble, I managed to do it fairly easily myself. Quality fixings and easy to understand instructions. Incredibly happy with my purchase, styling goes well with the ercol oak chairs I have in my sons room... Basically buy this it's definitely worth the money. I managed to bag it at 20% off on a promo but you will not be dissapointed if you pay full wack!

It’s very attractive looking and went together easily. It’s a spare bed so not used yet .. and we bought without mattresses from you so I guess the comfort mainly comes from those!

Having looked into this, the two parts of the bed can be put together to feel like a larger bed. The mattress's can not be connected.

The Habitat Chiltern Trundle Day Bed - Oak does not come with mattresses.
It requires a standard UK single sized mattresses W90, L190cm.
A 16cm depth mattress would be the maximum for the trundle.

I can advise that the trundle bed can be slept on at floor level or with the legs folded out to raise it to the level of the main bed.

Therefore, the height will depend on the depth of mattress they have or purchase.
The height to the top of the slats is 375mm.''

I can advise that the top mattress can be however deep you like, however the trundle mattress cannot be more than 15cm deep.

Habitat Chiltern Trundle Day Bed - Oak: Space underbed when trundle is not there is 27.5cm.
We couldn't confirm the space with the Trundle underneath, as we do not know the depth of the mattress you plan to use
