Very useful for badly creased new curtains
I bought new curtains and when I put them up I realised they were badly creased but I thought the creases might drop out ..,they didn’t! I had read about garment steamers but was sceptical about their effectiveness however not wanting to take the curtains down I bought this Russell Hobbs steamer in Argos.. I used it on the curtains and found that it was really good.,perhaps not as good as ironing but very effective and certainly for someone who like myself is a lot older much better than having to take the curtains down and then having to put them up again. I found the steamer comfortable to hold and the turbo steam function helped with the deeper creases. I also used the steamer on a top that I had folded up and was really pleased with how it removed the creases. The only negatives I have found is that the water tank does need refilling frequently if doing curtains however a bigger tank would make the unit heavier so I don’t see it as much of a problem.

Very good finish ...much easier than getting ironing board and iron out ..would recommend it for ease of use ..knocked one star off because it's difficult to see the water level in the water chamber

An absolute gem of a steamer
My first time using a steamer. Chose this one based on price/reviews, to use at a family wedding so thought I’d give it a whirl before the big day. I can’t praise it highly enough, a little gem. Easy to use & extremely effective

Steaming made easy
Brought this to steam my daughter’s wedding dress, never used a steamer before so was very cautious! I was impressed how easy it was to use. Weight of the steamer was slightly lighter than a good iron, the water container connected really easily and easy to refill, steam level was strong and with 2 attachments was happy with the outcome. Once completed I left the dress hanging out so it dried completely before packing to travel, once at the venue, unpacked it and it didn’t take long to touch up again. If I had anything negative to say the electrical cord was slightly on the short side but this was possibly because the dress was so long.

It was tested on cotton, polyester and stainless steel only.
