Takes your training to the next level
This is my third upgraded Garmin Forerunner, having moved to the 255 from the 245 which I'd used for the last four years. This has been an excellent purchase, at a discounted price and the additional features great additions to my training. Battery life is significantly longer than I had with my previous watch and the additional suggested training sessions within the run training mode are good additions to add variety. These are based on your training analysis and so enable you to add elements which are highlighted as needing more emphasis. The ability to link key races with your training and so tailor these is a great update. Connectivity to GPS is flawless and seems to be more accurate than my previous watch, where pace seemed to lag in wooded areas. Garmin connect provides a good interface with lots of tools and modes to meet different training. The heart rate broadcast mode synched with the indoor spin bike I was using at the gym and, with the FTP mode, made it easier to track performance during the class. Finally the watch is easy to operate on the run / bike, using the mode buttons. I didn't want a touch-screen watch as so many running buddies seem to lose data through accidental screen knocks. A great upgrade at an excellent price.

Took a bit of getting used to as I always had a Fitbit until now but liking it a lot. Best thing about it for me is the battery life. Think I got almost 2 weeks before charging it and it wasn’t even that low, I just thought I should give it a top-up and it charges pretty quickly also. All in all, a solid watch.

Great upgrade
Excellent upgrade to my previous Garmin, a Forerunner 245. Battery life, screen, and responsiveness are all a big improvement, and it logs more of the specific sports activities that I do.
