About this product
This washable mat sorts out spills and muddy footprints without the usual faff. It's made from 100% polypropylene with a non-slip rubber backing that keeps it firmly in place, even in high-traffic spots like hallways or under the kitchen table. The fibres soak up to four times their own weight in water, so it'll handle wet shoes, splashes and everyday mess. The teal plain shaggy design adds a bit of softness and warmth underfoot, and it's stain and fade resistant so it keeps looking decent even after plenty of use.

Love the texture of this rug. Have bought several of these rugs and wouldn’t buy anything else now. Unlike most rugs that slip around on the floor, once in place these rugs stay put. Great product and not a bad price.

“ Yes, the backing is black but it should not stain the carpet. But, to be on the side of caution,if the rug had been washed I wouldn’t put a damp rug down on the carpet I would make sure its dry first. ”

I had the same problem. It does make it easier if the rug is wet as the backing becomes softer, therefore with a lot of pushing and adjusting it is possible to push it inside most washing machines. It takes me about 10 minutes to get the dry rug inside my washing machine but once the washing cycle starts the rug softens even more so it will wash it well. Hope this helps.

Without knowing the size of your washing machine it is difficult to comment. If the rug is folded twice, this may help but wetting it first should not make any real difference
