About this product
Whether it's a weekend family trip or a festival, the Decathlon Arpenaz 4 Man Blackout Tent keeps everyone sorted with two preassembled bedrooms and a stand-up living room. The colour-labelled fibreglass poles make assembly straightforward, so you spend less time pitching and more time enjoying the outdoors. Fresh fabric reduces heat buildup when the sun's out, keeping the interior comfortable through the day. Tested to withstand force six winds, the polyester construction holds steady in blustery conditions.
The sewn-in groundsheet stops drafts and damp from creeping in. Mosquito nets and a window provide ventilation while keeping insects outside. Two bedrooms give everyone their own space, and the basin groundsheet adds practical storage. Includes guy ropes and tent pegs in the rectangular carry cover. Two people can pitch it without fuss, and it packs down into a manageable bundle for transport. Suitable for soft ground anchoring, making it a practical choice for campsites and family camping weekends.

Solid, simple, well designed tent
Good, basic tent. Quick to pitch. Great black out areas for sleeping, good headroom and ventilation. Quick and intuitive to put up, nice little touches on the central area flooring - you can peg it down at the edges or raise it slightly at the doors in case of wet weather. For the money (£139) this was a really good deal.

Wow
This thing is so cool. I have 0 experience of tents and on a whim I bought this to impress my kids. It comes in a small 36×6 inch rectangular carry bag and thankfully everything goes back into it without a massive struggle. My first time of laying it all out was tricky, but only in getting it to stand up as I wasn't sure how much strength is needed to bend the spines such that they fit in their given sockets, but once you get a hang of it, it wasnt that bad. It stands quite talll, feels very roomy, impressed with the space on each side for the 2 person sleeping capacity. Once I set it up, it was obvious that the place where I set it up was incorrect, but then I just moved the entire tent to the new place without dismantling it. Dismantling was also v easy and them stuffing in the bag didnt require herculean efforts. Will take it whenever I go camping (:)) or put it up in the garden as before.

I really like this tent.
I used this tent for around 1 month this summer. This is a great tent, the blackout sleeping areas are really relaxing, they keep it cool and dark and they have zips that open to let air blow through, its easy to put up, easy to take down, not massive but big enough for our family. I paired it with a quetchua tarp to make a covered porch area and its worked out well.

Brilliant Tent
Great Product! Size: tight for 4 people on air matresses , but not impossible. The Blackout was so worth the extra money than for the non-blackout counterpart. Watch out for bugs geting caught behind the mesh windows. I left a bug in there and it stained the fabric I was able to put this up alone in 20 minutes, I am however fairly experienced with tents There are instrcutions to out up and take it down, so take note An easy tent to manage that will keep you cool-ish in hot weather. You'll hold up infinately better than when you're in a dark colored tent

Fantastic Festival Tent
I recently used this tent at a festival and it was perfect for the occasion, kept the rain out when needed and for the rest of the festival in very hot conditions it was more comfortable than other tents I’ve used in the past.

Fantastic tent
I bought this for me trip to Le Mans this year as I needed a good size tent that packed down small. I've seen other reviews saying that put some doubts in my mind but I'm glad I didn't let it put me off. First time putting it up took around 20 minutes or so but will be easier next time. Black out on the quechua tents is fantastic. I've had the 3 man pop up tent before with the fresh and black and that was the same. I don't see the need to go for any other leading brand at double the price. You won't be disappointed.

Hello Jasoc,
Yes. It features a double-skin design (outer flysheet + inner bedrooms) and all flysheet seams are sealed with thermobonded tape to ensure it is fully waterproof. Thank you for using Q&A!
Hello Wend,
The living area groundsheet on the Decathlon Arpenaz 4.1 and 4.2 Fresh & Black poled models is not permanently sewn in. These models utilize a "basin-shaped" groundsheet designed for specific functionality:
1. Attachment and Maintenance
The groundsheet is a separate component that attaches to the flysheet using clips or Velcro. This allows you to easily remove the groundsheet for cleaning without needing to wash the entire tent. The "basin" design features raised edges to prevent rainwater from entering the living area during storms.
2. Sleeping Area Protection
While the living area groundsheet is removable, the sleeping compartments feature fully integrated, sewn-in groundsheets. This provides a double layer of protection to ensure that water and insects stay out of the sleeping area.

Hello Curly Claire,
The Decathlon 4-Man Blackout Tent Arpenaz undergoes thorough testing to validate its waterproofing.
The first test is conducted in a laboratory environment, where the tent is exposed to 200 liters of water per hour per square meter for 3 hours—equivalent to 200 mm of tropical rain per hour. The second test is carried out by our teams in real-life field conditions.
This tent features a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm, heat-sealed seams, and a 140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet to ensure excellent protection against the elements.
