Excellent table, poor instructions
I bought this table on sale. Should have been straightforward to assemble as I am used to assembling furniture with diagrams only. The instructions were not detailed enough and it was hard to determine which screws were used at the specific angles of the legs. I did get it wrong, but quickly realised it can not be right. I took it apart and started again. It is a lovely table, but your time assembling.

This shelf is approximately 15.5cm (6.1 inches) off the floor. Based on the info you've provided here, it should be above the height of your 4.5 inch skirting board.

Hi there it all depends entirely on how large the items are that you intend to stand on it really. The surface is only 30cm it you put the telephone on the bottom and the lamp on the top then that would help to distribute the size of the items even further, this is of course all your own choice.
