It's designed with soft touch ergonomics so it sits comfortably in your hand. The soft touch trigger reduces strain during longer watering sessions. The gun includes one connector so you can attach it to your hose immediately. You'll handle different watering and cleaning tasks with the six spray patterns. All Hozelock hoses and fittings are universal, they will all interchange. If you are having problems fitting then I would advise that you contact Hozelock product support. Please see attached link for contact information:

Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know this item comes with a fitting to attach to a hose, which is a ‘Water stop’ meaning when the gun is unplugged, it shuts off the water supply

Yes, when the trigger is released the water flow will stop in normal operation. There is a lock to keep trigger depressed, and therefore water flowing if required, when hand released.
