About this product

Masses of pure white double flowers in early summer and a rich orange-blossom fragrance make Philadelphus 'Virginal' a standout for mixed or shrub borders. This tall, vigorous deciduous shrub reaches 2500-3000 mm, attracts bees and other pollinators, and is excellent for cutting. Easy to grow and low maintenance, it tolerates urban pollution and salt-laden coastal winds and prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Plant in a hole twice as deep and three times as wide as the rootball, firm the soil, water thoroughly and keep well watered and fed until established; trim in summer if needed.
