No the left and right taper cutters did not come with this cutter. However the guides from my old cutter did fit.
No. I bought them for my sons hair and am very pleased with the product and haven't found not having tapers to be an issue. If you can live without them, honestly a really good set of clippers that should last a long time.

Ash, I personally think that the answer given is not straight up, I would not rely on the lifetime warranty because the expert has said the motor specifically has lifetime warranty meaning if anything else go wrong with it would most probably or certainly not be covered.
