Bought this last month. The phone is narrower than I'd expected - which is a good thing as it's taking up less space on my telephone table - and solidly built. The buttons are large enough for my fingers and are pleasingly firm when pressed. The whole thing feels well-made. The sound is clear, and the ring-tone being able to be switched off is very useful to me. Im very pleased with it and the price and would recommend it to anyone wanting a basic plug-in landline - there are few choices on the market for such phones these days. I wish someone would manufacture a phone like this and at this price range but with caller display. It would be easy to do, and would be a worthwhile extra feature.

Pleasing design corded BT phone handset
I bought this phone as a direct replacement for an existing faulty one from a rival manufacturer. Havent plugged it in yet, but it looks adequate for the job. The price paid was OK so I anticipate some years of reliability.

Short code dialling doesn’t work.
Purchased one of the BT Duet phones in March 2026 but I could not get the short code memory dialling to store the number. Phone returned to Argos and purchased another. The same problem again and this was done whilst the BT guide was on the phone guiding me. Other reviews have said they had the same problem. If you don’t need this function then the phone is fine.

If your router has a standard BT Phone line port on it, you simply need a phone line extension kit if you want the phone to be further away.
