Bought this because I thought my Sony PS3 Blu Ray had packed up. It hadn't. idiot here tried to play an HD Dvd on it and they only work on HD DVD players! So nearly returned this new DVD player but decided my PS3 is so old it will pack up eventually. Easy to install,, good picture and sound, this DVD player does what it says on the tin.

Bought this to replace another Sony Blu ray that I was using and worked perfectly fine. Built a Media Wall though so space was crucial. This fits on a shelf behind my TV perfectly though so just the job. Half the size of my previous one.

If you wish to get a player that can play UHD discs, you may consider one of the following models: UBPX800M2, UBP-X700, UBP-X500 or UBPX700 as all of them are Ultra HD Blu-ray players.

From the information we have available, I can advise the Sony BDPS3700B Smart Blu-Ray Player does not support UHD (4K) Blu-ray discs. It is designed to play standard Blu-ray discs and DVDs.
