About this product
A tall shelving unit designed to maximise storage without eating into your floorspace. The Karee gives you six tiers of practical shelving that keeps everything from books and box files to plants and displays within easy reach. It's made from solid pine with a natural unfinished surface, so you can use it straight away or personalise it with your choice of wood stain or paint. The narrow profile fits neatly against walls in living rooms, home offices, or hallways.
Six fixed shelves distribute weight evenly and stay secure over time. The unit stands at 135cm tall and must be anchored to the wall using the included fixings to prevent tipping. Each shelf provides room for storage boxes, folders or decorative items, with five open cube spaces for easy organisation. Assembly requires two people and clear instructions are provided. I bought this a couple of days ago and after taking it back damaged twice, I will now live with a split wood shelf from screw and bowed upright strut and call it rustic! Have given it a 2 star as it looks nice in my porch just hope it doesn’t collapse 😩

Don't be fooled by the rating
I really don't understand how this unit has 4.5 stars. The timber is the softest, cheapest engineered wood I've ever come across — it dents under a fingernail. The biggest problem is the screw holes: they aren't pre-drilled at all, just marked with shallow ~5mm dimples showing where the screw is meant to go. Even driving the screws in as gently and slowly as possible, the panels just split. I ended up drilling proper pilot holes myself just to finish the build. Honestly, I would have returned it without a second thought — the only reason I didn't is that I'd already sunk about 1.5 hours and 40 screws into assembling it. If you do buy this, do NOT trust the included holes: drill your own pilot holes first, or you'll crack the wood. Very disappointing.

The Home Karee 6 Tier Shelving Unit - Natural has an individual shelf weight limit of approximately 15 Kg. It is advisable though to load heavier items towards the base of the shelves.
