About this product
The Vax Blade 4 Classic is a proper cordless stick that gives you up to 45 minutes of continuous cleaning from the ONEPWR 4.0Ah MAX battery. It's nicely balanced at 3.1kg, so you can move it around without any strain, and the boost mode triples the power when you need extra oomph for stubborn pet hair or ground-in dirt. It works across carpets, deep pile, wool, hard floors, laminate, upholstery and stairs, and the motorised floorhead adjusts between carpet and hard floor at the touch of a button.
The washable filter captures up to 99.8% of particles down to 0.3 microns, which is great if you've got allergies or pets shedding everywhere. The 0.6l dustbin is a decent size and has an indicator to let you know when it's full. It converts into a handheld for furniture, stairs or the car, and comes with a crevice nozzle, turbo brush, combination floor nozzle, wall-mountable docking station, battery and charger. The battery takes 3 hours to fully charge, and there's a low battery indicator so you're not caught out mid-clean.

whistling noise
Why does my Vax make a whistling noise when hoovering. It can be very high pitched and is really annoying. Not easy to empty caddy when full and does not stand on it's own and even when put against a wall to stand it will fall over and already (6 months down the line) I have had to replace a part on it. Not that impressed with it.

I loved my blade 4 cordless when I first bought it. However the battery does die after a year which I have had to replace twice now and also if you have long hair, you will need to cut it off the roller after every use. We have had to buy 2 new floor heads as they burn out very quickly if you don’t keep ontop of keeping it clean. I also find the attachments rubbish for the stairs as it’s really quite heavy and awkward to manoeuvre on stairs. Swapping back to a normal corded vacuum next time. When the roller work it does pick up well

Brilliant Vax cordless Hoover it's my 2nd purchase I have Blade 4 pet Vax which i am happy with to so now I have one upstairs and one downstairs also I purchase the power washer a few months ago as my old one was about 10years old I would recommend these products to my friends.

Cheaper but design could be better.
Purchased again because of its price. This Vacuum would be a lot better if it had a blade just below the brush to cut wrapping hair around the brush roller. Its a pain having to cut the hair away every time one uses the vacuum.

"How do you remove hairs wrapped around brushes?
1. Remove the Floor Head from the Pole/Hand held unit
2. Using a coin, turn the brush bar anticlockwise to release the brush bar
3. Pull the brush bar out of the housing.
4. To remove any threads of hair, slide the blade of a pair of scissors into the groove of the brush bar and cut along the groove
5. Slide the brush bar back into the Floorhead, ensuring the brush bar slides onto the brush bar spindle.
6. Align the arrow on the brush bar cover o that it points north, firmly push & twist clockwise to lock."
