This is a great camera. It’s easy to set up, works perfect and overall better than any other indoor camera I’ve used. The audio is clear, its detection is spot on. Rotates to see the whole room it’s in. The picture is clear even in night vision. There’s an option to turn privacy on too where you can stop any detections. Inexpensive and great for what it’s needed for.

I can advise, the camera supports continuous 24/7 recording when a microSD card (up to 512GB) is installed. This feature can be enabled in the Tapo app under the recording settings. Cloud storage and event-based recording are also available, but for uninterrupted footage, local storage via microSD is recommended.

I have this camera installed behind glass, setting it to permanent day time mode works very well at night if there is some street lighting outside.

It is not recommended to place the camera behind glass. If the camera is installed behind glass, infrared lights may cause reflection, resulting in blurry and unclear images, thereby hindering the timely detection of moving objects, especially in night time scenes.
