Ideal solution to broadband limits
Very pleased with this Power Line extender. Our wi-fi doesn't reach the TV location so this TP link unit provides the ideal solution. easy to setup, plug both units in press a button and it all happens, no passwords or codes required. Good kit and very reasonably priced.

Simple set up and works great.
Worked first time. Set up was straight forward and the instructions were clear. I haven't tested the transfer speed but it has already solved our problem of the slow wifi connection to our smart TV. It was a nice touch to include the two ethernet cables in the kit, which were just the right length. UK users should note that the two devices have to be on the same ring main inorder to get good connection speeds.

Great problem solver
Excellent product, we struggled to get any kind of reliable WiFi from our living room 350mps through to our conservatory 70mps and struggles with constant drop outs. While the speed hasn’t increased (possibly dropped a tiny bit, despite offering super fast speeds) the stability now is fantastic, hasn’t dropped once since installed 👍🏻

Good Hardware and OK performance, poor software.
Works well out of the box. However to use the more advanced functions, you need a MS Windows or Mac OS device to run the TP-Link configuration utility. The configuration utility (needed for advanced operations) is not available for Linux systems (NB, the core functionality of this adaptor works with Linux). The specifications quotes "128-bit AES wireless security.". These adaptors do not have wireless functionality. Performance was reasonable with three CCTV cameras

It works well unless I have my crt monitor plugged into the plug next to it Also took a bit of fiddling to get it to work with my existing powerline adaptors

Hi,
Powerline adapters usually come in pairs. The first powerline adapter needs to be connected to your router via Ethernet cable, and the second extender can connect wirelessly to the first powerline adapter. However, the TL-PA7017KIT does not have Wi-Fi functionality and only supports wired connection to the backend device.
If you need Wi-Fi connectivity, you can consider models with 'W' in their model name, such as the TL-WPA7817 KIT.

When configuring, both the adapter and extender need to be located close to the router. Additionally, a distance of ten meters between the adapter and the router may slightly impact speed or performance.
