About this product
Flat battery in a Tesco car park and you're stuck. This jump starter gets petrol engines up to 5L and diesel engines up to 2L going again without ringing breakdown cover. The boost button handles completely dead batteries, so you're not waiting around when you're already late. Safety features stop you connecting it wrong, reverse polarity protection, spark-free design and anti-spike keep things safe while you're hooking it up. The battery clamps reach easily, there's a built-in torch for when it's dark, and it doubles as a power bank with PD30W fast charging for your phone or tablet.
The compact design fits in the glovebox without taking up half the boot. LED status indicators show the charge level at a glance. Charges fully in around 2 hours so it's ready when you need it. Works with most petrol and diesel vehicles on UK roads. The easy-reach clamps make connecting simple even when you're flustered. A right little work horse!
I bought this a while back when I had to jump my car using leads. Since then I had a complete battery failure while away on holiday. This started my car (2L diesel) from dead flat, no dash lights, no central locking, 7 times on one charge a month before. It still wasn't flat. Got me and my family out of a real pickle. It takes up next to no space and would fit easily in the glove box.

Ring 8000mAh Ultraboost Jumpstarter
I used the unit three times during winter: twice for my Kia Picanto and once to help a friend with a flat battery on a Toyota Corolla. The jump starter worked on the first try each time and didn't require a second boost. It is small enough to fit easily under a car seat or in a glove box. On the safety side, it includes protection against reverse polarity, short circuits, and overcharging, which makes operation safe even for inexperienced users. The LED light isn't the strongest, but it helps in dark situations. I haven't tried it as a power bank yet. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Ring 8000mAh Ultraboost Jumpstarter.

Great Booster
Purchased to replace an old booster that had died, this is much better much smaller and more powerful, within a week of owning it a friend needed a boost on a 2litre diesel that had been standing for over 6 months, this booster started the car in seconds it impressed my friend so much they went out and purchased one them self, being a taxi driver they said it would be handy to have. The next time I had to use it was on a Nissan Juke and once again it did not fail to impress. Worth every penny

Compact, easy assembly with great added features
I bought this as I heard from a mechanic that they are handy to have and work really well compared to jump leads. My daughter's car battery had totally drained, not even a dash board light came on and after buying product it looked to be fully charged so connected it up in seconds and turned key in ignition and car started. Had tried jump leads before this with no success. The unit is very versatile with torch on body and ports to allow other devices to be charged from it, phone etc.. It comes in a small pouch and is assembled in second just pushing two parts together. Must have bit of kit for the car.

If it is a warm sunny day and the van battery still has a bit of charge, then it should work.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Ring 8000mAh Ultraboost Jumpstarter & Powerbank.
The powerbank/output is to charge a mobile phone or tablet.
Make sure the battery pack is charged up before use. Please plug the USB C lead into the hole marked input and the other end into a USB charger, a mobile phone charger for example.
For the RJS020 jump starter, Power Delivery charging is supported up to 30W. This means it can quickly recharge itself and also provide powerful charging for USB-C devices like laptops, tablets, and phones.
Press on/off button to start charging laptop from battery pack.
Plug the intelligent croc clip module into the main battery unit.
Connect the crocodile clips to the battery terminals, within 30 seconds of plugging the battery pack into the clamps.
Press the blue button and the green led should light on the intelligent croc clip module.
Start trying the ignition in 3 second bursts or less.
IF the green led flashes it means the battery voltage is low, you may still be able to get the vehicle to start by pressing the boost override button.
IF the green light is NOT lit at all, it means the battery voltage is low, you may still be able to get the vehicle to start by pressing the boost override button.
